Rep. Chaleski Applauds House Passage of HB 5002 – An Act Concerning Early Childhood Care and Education

Hartford, Conn. – The State House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill to bolster early childcare education.

The bill does several things, including renaming the Early Childhood Education Fund to the Early Childhood Care and Education Fund (ECCEF), establishes the ECCEF Commission and its duties, directs the Office of Early Childhood to establish a Tri-Share Child Care Matching Program in New London County, and establish a one-time lump sum payment program for childcare workers.

Volunteers Help Remove Invasive Vines at Tarrywile Park

Danbury, Conn. – During a weekend event at Tarrywile Park, dozens of volunteers cut and cleared invasive vines from trees and got planters ready for flowers and shrubs. State Representative Rachel Chaleski contacted Tarrywile Park Authority about holding another event at the park following similar work done in March and this was the result.
